The person killed late Friday afternoon after being struck by a car in Hartsdale has been identified as an elderly woman.
The crash occurred in front of Petco at 324 North Central Ave. in Hartsdale at approximately 5 p.m. on Friday, Greenburgh Police Chief Chris McNerney said.
North Central Avenue was closed for several hours during the accident investigation, which is continuing.
The driver of the automobile has been cooperating with police.
The woman's name and hometown have not yet been released.
